Walk Not The Path Of Fools (1)

Each one who’ll live who’d death survive
May seek The Lord on high
Only to learn before we thrive
Our need is first to die

Egos must fail and pride must fall
Rivers of tears flow
Shrivelling self will wax so small
Yet seek no place to grow

When first these facts our heart can see
When truth our soul has heard
The living God can set us free
According to His Word

God’s living facts are everywhere
The Truth cries loud and clear
For all that Heaven has to share
Is brought while Christ is near

So close! We find that Christ is real
So close we understand
That deep within He’s there to feel
When Truth walks hand in hand

He’s Lord of all He’s Heaven’s King
Consuming fire within
Creator God of everything
And victor over sin

Who know The Truth should comprehend
Who know The Lord should know
Who know He’s God will know He’s friend
Whilst throughout life they go

Though north south though east or west
What life through death may yield
Our very soul we may invest
In Heaven’s Word revealed
