Walk Through That Pain Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Walk Through That Pain

When you walk through the pain,
Everything around you feels the same,
Smells the same,
Tastes the same,
Feels the same,
Nobody can hurt you anymore,
No more tears,
No more hurt,
No more fears,
No more nothing,
Pain, tears, lies, fears, everything,
Everything’s numb,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your soul,
Your heart,
Your heart is gone,
No more love,
No more friends,
This is where it all ends,
Your heart disappears,
Leaving nothing,
Nothing but a black hole,
A black hole to drown in,
To drown your emotions in,
Then bury them at the bottom,
Never to rise again,
As you walk through that pain.
