Walking The Path Poem by Allegro Leon K.

Walking The Path

Close to the end,
My soul scatters in a thousand pieces,
Facing the uncertainty of choice,
I lay disarmed, seeking deliverance.
Inside the gates of light,
My eyes closed, yet I see the ascending path.
Behind, miles of darkness stretch,
In the familiar void,
Guilt burns relentlessly,
Leaving everything behind, as
I will not take eternity for granted.
But become one with God.
As credence of the heart
Reveals the road for my arrival,
There,
Where I always sensed
I belonged.
