Wandering Poem by I, Mongoose

Wandering

Rating: 3.0

The baggage train trailing behind
Drags heavily through the sands,
Slowing the progress
Of our desert caravan
Whose only destination
Is the next mirage.

Led by hallucination
To an empty oasis visage.
The whole journey has been thus:
Imagining water in clouds of dust.
