War Poem by Ibrahim Ibn Salma

War

A crimson affliction, where
Chaos and destructions are
As real and vibrant as reason,
Innocence is the main casualty,
Earthquake shocking
The landscape of conviction,
A world unable to cope
With catastrophe and carnage,
Glory, honor and courage are
Hollow and empty alongside
The lifeless corpses and
The scarlet rivers,
Smokes rise from the ruins,
Screaming to
The soul of humanity their pains,
Echoing over the valleys and
The mountains to halt
The killings, the destructions,
The decimations.
The voice of reason is heard
When the Iran
Nuclear agreement is signed.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The poem portrays a very grim and gory picture of the world around us. Thank God, the journey through all the bloodshed and the corpses scattered on the way ends on an optimistic note. Hats off to you for taking stock of the situation- past as well as present.
