Today the sun rises
in a different country yet
The flame of war is creeping
A red cross is on coloured maps
once noisy crowds in the square
can the serious thinker
carry the day
The victim sees himself in the torturers soul
We don't want our bodies destroyed
but the buildings hem us in
let air blow on our gasping faces
