Was It Cozy? Poem by Wamii Flyer

Was It Cozy?

The rent is due
Wildberry Avenue

Kicked out of his house
Got nowhere to go

In the middle of winter
His body's getting colder

Hypothermia peeks around the corner
The death bell chimes louder

Lying there, on the snow
His movement's slow

Buried in ice
No sign of life

''Frozen. Empty streets. You'll be my new home. From now on.''
