We Choke On Words And Polite Conversations Poem by Seairra Kyger

We Choke On Words And Polite Conversations

I’ll be here forever
That whisper in your ear
Did you mean what you said
Or was is just something I wanted to hear

My body is tingling
Slowly growing cold
Losing touch with myself
The world no longer in my hold

I hope this doesn’t hurt you
You were never meant to cry
But I will always love you
Till the day we both do die

My heart is gone
Replace in my throat with a lump
I had no clue
That loving you
Would hurt this much

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is about the end of a relationship that neither of them wanted. Its sorta just that sad moment when you must part ways.
