We Danced All Night
we danced
all night
along the river
sangam as stars
fell among
earth and shadow
at sunrise
we slept under
the red
trees near
the water's edge
you beside me
the sangam sang
as i dream'd
of birds crossing
blue mountains
(scent of black
moss) and wet
stones i woke
to the sound
of water
made fire beneath
starlight
