We Go To Church

Rating: 0.5

To church we go The Lord to praise
To seek His chosen path
To seek His grace to change our ways
And flee the coming wrath

Through bread and wine in earthen ware
We think of Heaven’s powers
In faith the flesh of Christ we share
That righteousness be ours

With love, Christ brings to heart and soul
His Flame of Truth divine
Through whom we’re made completely whole
And grafted in The Vine

In truth to Christ we now belong
The Branch of David’s Root
Yet still to sing the victory song
We’ll need to bear much fruit

Impossible for flesh and bone
We need The Master’s hand
So those who seek The Corner Stone
Will learn to understand

Religion has in church no place
Traditions very few
In truth we seek The Father’s face
Through Spirits born anew

In church we come to testify
In church we come to pray
In church our self may learn to die
In Christ to rise one day

In church we stand within God’s sight
We come God’s Son to see
To set the world in truth alight
And set her children free
