We Must Remember Poem by Mystic Qalandar

We Must Remember

We must remember—
this earth is not a place
to simply come and go.
We are born of her
by divine will—
not to vanish,
but to return:
descending,
rising again
to do God's will.

Death is not an end,
if it is spiritual—
but a return to the Truth.
As the Prophet said:
Die before death,
so you never die.

Yet we forgot.
Forgot our origin
is the Truth.
Forgot the melody
of the sacred song.
Forgot how to listen—
to the word of creation,
to live in harmony,
to speak her tongue.

If we knew ourselves—
truly knew—
we would see:
everything is spiritual.
Everything has a spirit.
Nothing is here by accident.

Our essence
is necessary being—
the Truth
that cannot not be.
All placed by the One,
called by many names.
We call Him:
The Truth.

We are not here
for a few brief winters,
not exiles passing through.
We are of the Spirit—
from the Truth.
Our essence,
so easily forgotten,
is more real
than most dare believe.

The Great Spirit is not distant—
it is everything.
And we are made of it.

We are mainly spirit.
To remain whole,
we must remain
conscious of our being—
distinct from
the four elements
that form our frame.

Water is sacred.
Air is sacred.
Fire is sacred.
Earth is sacred.
They sustain
what we call life.

Our DNA
is woven with the tree's.
It breathes in
what we release;
we breathe in
what it gives—
one breath, shared.
One fate, intertwined.

We are on the Earth.
And when she is wounded—
waters poisoned,
air torn,
soil weeping—
she will respond.

The Mother reacts.
Her silence becomes storm,
her patience, wrath.

And still,
she waits—
for us to remember
how to live
in harmony
with our essence.
