We Turn Home Poem by Kenny Bills

We Turn Home

"We Turn Home"
When the sun turns red against a winter sky.
When my love is at my side,
When we are groom and bride,
When we are together through the night,
When we find lovers delight,
We turn home, my love.
When vows are said,
When rice is thrown on our head,
When we share kisses on our wedding bed,
When wedding our night are dream and memory,
When we share tears of honeymoon joy,
When all our hopes are realized and remembered,
When we are lovers forever,
We turn home, my love.
We turn home. When we watch the red sun against turquoise sky,
When we know the days of our lives,
When we no longer fear the night,
When our sight grows dim,
When the sunset of our lives come,
When the sun turns yellow orange against the evening sky,
We turn home, my love.
We turn home, my love.
