We'Ve Been Disguised Poem by Sierra Staten

We'Ve Been Disguised

He took you. Why?
Are our lives merely a disguise?
To amuse the ones whom we despise?
Looking hard, with only closed eyes?

Yes, a smile, no tears.
Because I am hiding the fear
And the pain, and the ache
And everything that you had to create.
