We Were Divided Poem by James Onuska

We Were Divided

What have I learned. Put the heads back. Search you and keep it moving.
Never a small fry. We were sold on it. My place is settling. Feel the ground.
Stage a riot. Man the boards. I'm not hoarding anything. What small potatoes.
My fortune is dwindling. My favorite job is diving. I can't be still dividing. I need
A long pause. So much restless energy. My interest is pulled. The wait is over. Open up a crack. Need to go around. Never a soft shell. Bale me out. I haven't
Begun to fail. Prop up a knee. Wait around. Keep noticing. It never sits well with me. It's a bull market. What a sharp dresser. It harkens back to a earlier period.
It is independent. Target practice. Catch me on the ear. Wear it all together. We
Stand on an island. The haves gather favors. Match them up. Now point. I got the
Horns. I never settle. Wear the head piece. Head out. Never a trace. They mean well. Watch it collapse under its own weight. No petting. How it feels. It's your
Fault. The fraction of the price. Never mix up the small with the large. I'm never
Going to carve. Would I straighten. It was a fixed hesitation. May the nations gather. Paint it blue. Run a red streak. Have it meet. Greeted. Paint a smile. Smother. It was never this way. Take the chance. Drag it out. You know the instance. I was never Nancy. Dance. Pull apart. Don't judge. I will figure it all later.
Maybe another date. Grab all you can. It helps me. When the winds come. That was a safe bet. You drive a hard bargain. That was pronounced. I'm not opening
Anything. What a soft shell. Mirror that without stopping. grade. Don't parade.
It was never that fancy. Live to drizzle. Not in your life. It was sizzling. What a tall
Order. Pour around. We won't cater. I lost the bet. We will remember. Suffering
