We Will Make It To The Harbor Poem by Wayne Sowell

We Will Make It To The Harbor

Every craft was made to sink
Without Him.
If you can walk on water
What is a storm?

Every journey is started
With Him
He will never leave you
Safely you will make it to shore.

High winds
Little faith
Great sins
An even greater forgiveness.

Do not fear flesh
Do not look to man
The chariots of kings
Do not have lifeboats.

Do well.
Labor.
Plant.
Sow and reap.
But after the hard work of sowing
Do not forget
To return to your beloved field
And commit yourself to the hard work of reaping.
It is just as hard to reap and bring the crops in
As it is to plant then diligently in the first place.

Then there is the labor of preserving them
Canning them
Drying them
Or freezing them.

In the cold of winter you will have food for
Yourself
And foods to share with a
Friend
And other friends.

Some sow thinking the harvest will come by itself.
But if you sow and forget to reap
What is that?

We must insist the reaping.
We must become workers
Of the harvest.

We reap what we sow
And then we can sow again.

I pray that your plants are wholesome
I pray you have the will
And the ability
To fight the thorns and thistles
From your beloved fields and yards.

If you are weak
Cry out
And wait upon Him
To wait upon Him is to serve Him
And He will give you strength.

He gives strength
To the weak.
