Wedlock Poem by Teacher Kevin

Wedlock

After wedding,
Is there a lock?
Or why wedlock?

A lock on the door or on the gate,
For anyone willing to party till late,
Or willing to wonder without question.
Or why wedlock if we reason?

A lock in the heart,
For an outsider posing as sweetheart.
Or anyone offering a lusty task,
Or which lock if I may ask?

A lock that keeps you to one woman,
For better, for worse with that woman,
Or binding you till death do you part,
Or it becomes a lock at which part?
