Welcome To The Jungle Poem by Dale Totten

Welcome To The Jungle

The young are lured deep within
by what they see and hear.
A beautiful facade is erected,
that takes away their fear.
This is why they ran away,
to be loved without rules.
Smiling faces, warm embraces,
all doing what they choose.
Arms upon their shoulder,
leading them to the den.
The place where they are fed upon,
it's too late for them then.
Welcome to the jungle,
the place where dreams come true!
We have what you've been looking for,
though a bit long overdue.
We're gonna dress you up so pretty,
they'll be waiting in line for you.
You'll make so much money,
you won't know what to do.
Then to top it all off,
anytime you may get down,
I'll put you back on happy street,
you'll love that part of town.
Yeah, welcome to the jungle,
so happy you have come.
We've got what you are looking for,
so come my child, come!
