What Brings Salvation

Rating: 4.5

We each have walked on sinful ground
Ere safely in a pew
Is it perchance we’re Heaven bound
Or from the good we do?

Is it because we bend the knee?
Because of who we know
Predestination’s guarantee
Or through the church we go

Love’s obedience; is Heaven’s course
Loving our God and friend
With Jesus Christ’s our only source
Our life will see no end

Loving each neighbour loving The Lord
Selflessly walking true
We’ll flee death’s hand God’s vengeful sword
Keeping The Truth in view

Through service, we show God our worth
Walking His chosen way
Through Jesus’ blood through brand new birth
We’ll rise in faith one day

By faith we walk with God’s decree
Obeying each command
The things unseen, faith’s eye can see
And truly understand

We comprehend the secret things
The spiritual divine
The song of grace Salvation sings
And drink The Truth as wine

Living this way at God’s command
Living The Lord to please
Not only will we dwell His Land
But reign with perfect ease
