What Can I Do? Poem by Eman Roy

What Can I Do?

As the rain falls down
My eyes start to cry
Prayer is the only hope
When the dark comes.

I'm slowly dying,
On the inside I'm melting
As I see children on the street.
Those have nothing to eat.
'what can I do? ' I thought to
Myself.

To have everything I desire
but children are dying on the road.
'What can I do? '

Walking alone on the street
I heard the joyous laugh,
The endless happiness
I can't help myself,
to wounded about.
'How they are happy
though they don't have any?

Stars are shining opon them
As they pray and seek to him

We can have what we want
but the God is they only need.
Society is their enemy.

Hunger is their friend.
When tears fall from
God gives his loving hands.

As the time goes by
society have judgemental
the only matter is money
In this world full of greedy.
