What I Have Done To You - Poem by Maura Hunt
(Written a few months ago)
You were everything i was looking for. Everything.
But i tore us apart.
I tore you form my heart.
I cannot forgive myself for this.
All I've offered myself is false forgiveness.
I wish i could go back and change that day.
Make it all okay again.
I never meant for it to end the way it did.
I treated you like crap, took you love, and shoved it back at you.
I was stupid for letting you go.
For pushing you away.
I threw away the best thing I had.
I should be over you, but I'm not.
I don't think I ever will be for now.
