What I thought
Is I had brought
The devil with me
I had caught
The evil thought
Twas within me
And though fraught
And quite distraught
Confessed before Him
As I was taught
But all for naught
And so I left them
For I thought
That I ought
To take it with me
And I sought
And I fought
To keep them free
Free of the devil in me
