What if I never lost? What if I was the best?
What if I was born a leader and stood above the rest?
What if I was a complete success? What if I was world renown?
What if I’d sat in every throne and worn every crown?
What if I was president, dictator and king?
What if I ruled everyone and owned everything?
What if all these things were true, would you think differently?
Would it change, in any way, your perspective on me?

What if I blew everything that I put my hands to?
What if I messed up all of the things I tried to do?
What if I was a complete failure? What if I never succeeded?
What if I was totally useless? What if I wasn’t needed?
What if I’d never done a brave or courageous deed?
What if I wasn’t at all a hero? What if I couldn’t lead?
What if all these things were true, would you think differently?
Would it change, in any way, your perspective on me?
