It was the bankers, the wankers,
the gold-greedy gamblers
who brought all the world to its knees.
And the weaker, the meeker
see life has got bleaker,
while the criminals got off scot-free.
The rich have got richer,
while the poor have got bitter,
they struggle to pay all the bills.
But the fortunate winners,
the liars and spinners,
don't spare any thought for these ills.
They blithely ignore them,
won't do a thing for them,
stay safe in their ivory towers.
Yet the poor schmucks they skewered,
for all they've endured,
just voted them back into power.
