What Is Love?

Though disobedient, plagued with hate
We’d live with God above
But no one enters Heaven’s gate
Without a heart of love

So what is love and what’s its use?
How it is best employed
Not few have suffered through abuse
What should have been enjoyed

Love is a gift of God to share
Love is an active deed
A thoughtful word, a little care
And helping those in need

We can’t live true and bear a grudge
How much we think it right
For on the day we face life’s Judge
Our thoughts will come to light

A grudge is hate and hate’s not love
Yet love is Heaven’s way
We must repent to rise above
Cast out such filth today

Forgive with joy who’ve done us wrong
Stretch forth our hand and smile
Convey in peace our humble song
Walking that extra mile

When so performed with heart and mind
We set our spirit free
For though reputed to be blind
The love of God can see

Heaven will surely pass away
This world will die by flame
But God and love will always stay
Entirely the same

This is the second piece of your work that I have read. You are very talented. I like the way you use rhyme (I have a similar style)
