So, what's the colour of your love?
The earth brown where the love-seed fell and grew to a luxuriance of flowers, sweetness of fruit?
The blood red of hearts beating a vibrant tattoo consonant with true love?
The muddy, moss green of love sullied by possessive, obsessive jealousy?
The hopeful sea and sky blues of missing a distant loved one?
The ebony black of the hardwood solidity of near-tangible feelings?
The milk-white of a love unsullied, so purely real?
The verdant green growth of a long and lasting love?
The rusty red of windblown dust swirling in the memories of a love gone, or lost, or shed, or spurned, or scorned?
The yellow-belly tinge of an unconfessed love, cocooned in a heart too afraid to bare itself?
The ash grey of depressing fear, lest the loved one departs?
The royal purple of a love loyal, strong, storm-weathering, true?
The silvery, undulating colourlessnes of water over which a breeze has brushed, of a love that still seeks a recipient?
Or the quiet, jazzy whirlwind of just loving...... Self?
...
Tell me, please... what are the colours of your love?
