She said, I felt so shy when you walked in
when everyone else looked and laughed at me.
I only was myself like I've always been..
but, the don't like the simple, dreamer.. me!

Caught my breath.. hid my tears
one more step.. someday, I'll get over my fears

but, for now I'll just keep running fast as I can
don't turn around and take every little chance
always remember to use your pretty mind..
and don't you ever let them put you down!

Oh, dreaming about the day I see him so proud of me..
and that's what my daddy tells me.

finally, I got home.. I ran to my room,
and fell asleep in an ocean of tears..
tried to dry my pillow, so my mom won't worry
and closed my eyes to lose myself in dreams

but, they are always there to watch you leave..
