When God Chastens

God seeks for Christ a faithful bride
He seeks to right her wrong
For this Christ came for this He died
For this He waits so long

Take heed o bride with righteous soul
Who’s heart through faith beats true
The world looks to the one made whole
Who’s drank The Morning Dew

Allow your song reach far and wide
Let pride fall to the ground
Until the harvest’s safe inside
Until the lost are found

Go tell the world what’s soon to be
To all on earth explain
Teach blinded souls The Light to see
Revive whom Satan’s slain

Accept the discipline I give
The chastening of my rod
Receive the truth through which you’ll live
And know that I am God

I take no joy when people die
When men and women fail
When countries heed to Satan’s lie
When children end in jail

I hear the screams of walking dead
“Where is this God divine”
Then turn with lust to Satan’s bed
To drink his evil wine

Go show them how their lives can change
Show love with tender care
Reveal the truth that’s still so strange
That life they too may share
