When I Became A Child (For Nieke) Poem by Phil de Lange

When I Became A Child (For Nieke)

Joyful cries bellow in tune with life
Time is but a mystery
as each eternal second swings away
A vast array of colour
pulsates through majestic ignorance
This oyster of innocence
absorbs each scent bestowed by Gaia
Limitless clouds of desire find their way spored over the blue yonder;
Imagination sculpts each floating burst of happiness
Simplicity spreads like a great rainbow
shimmering from a pot of untouched excitement
A leap of faith continues our journey,
embrace the freedom.
