When I Go Poem by Leonard Snow

When I Go

When I'm old and near the end
stay with me and understand
When my tongue has lost all taste
let not your whispers go to waste

When my ears no longer hear
it'll soothe my soul to see you near
When my eyes are robbed of sight
just take my hand and hold it tight

When my hand is deprived of touch
my heart will still love you very much
When my heart has frozen cold
Forgive me love, and let me go
