When In Love Poem by Sean Green

When In Love

Does the color matter when in love?
asks the prompt to launch a poem
not in the least I will respond
as comfort found is number one

eschew society no matter what
when their opinions are prejudiced
against a person for nothing more
than pigment layered above the heart

it's tough enough to find another
echoing passions with due ardor
in a world all too cold
loneliness appears to rule

look to where romance appears
to edge the bet against this chance
by complying to bigotry
is sad folly when answering love.
