Silence leaned toward the Rose and whispered:
"What becomes of night's breath at twilight—
those trembling pearls upon your petals,
the tears the dark exhales?
Do they fade without remembrance,
like sighs returning to dust
before they know they're gone? "
The Rose replied to Silence:
"Every tear the night releases
finds its way into wells of hidden light.
There, each sorrow distills
into an unseen fragrance—
a memory of warm amber,
a sweetness the soul alone can taste."
"And those who depart
in quiet astonishment,
when the world folds behind them—
they do not vanish.
Their being transforms:
becoming motion, becoming radiance.
Their breath turns to wind,
their longing to flame,
their truth to wing.
They rise as newborn rays,
woven into the vast choir
of love's unending ascent."
Then Silence spoke again—
no longer in question,
but in reverence.
