Mommas crying in the kitchen
Cooking like everything's okay
Daddy's in the room
Acting like nothings wrong
I am in my room
Trying to hide from it all

But when is it gonna be done
When will momma stop crying?
When will daddy stop beating my mother to tears?
My sisters and I are tired of trying
Trying to understand why

Why is the world so cruel?
When will it all end
Why won't god help my mother?
