When You Lost Your Heart Poem by Anna Heart

When You Lost Your Heart

Rating: 5.0

When you were lost it became easy to search elsewhere for answers.
There was no need for reasons.
Reasons opened up the possibility of guilt,
Looking past the moment to a consequence.
You have been asked answers for your crimes,
But don't understand the options given.
You wanted to cure your failure, your disappointment
By hurting and allowing yourself to turn numb.
Wrong faded into grey and your world fell apart.
You never imagined the person you hurt most in this world
To be the love you wished never to lose.
Only if you could hold it again.
