Where My Blood Dropped Poem by Norazah Norddin

Where My Blood Dropped

M.A.L.A.Y.S.I.A
It's how we spell it
To be born in such a place
Is really a great pleasure

Let me tell you about it
Malay is the largest community here
Islam is the official religion
Malay language is the official language

Wait!
Hold up
Don't accuse us racist
We are totally not

We don't need to go to China
To see the Chinese cultures
And how they celebrate the chinese celebrations
Oh I must say it's so interesting

We don't need to go to India
To see their traditional cultures
And their celebrations
Wow I must say Deepavali is my favourite

We speak Malay, Chinese and Tamil
We celebrate Eid, Mooncake Festival and Thaipusam
We eat Nasi Lemak, Yong Tao Foo and Thosai
We befriend with everyone despite looks, skin colour and races

'1Malaysia' is the concept
Where it symbolizes Malay, Chinese and Indian to be as one
'Malaysia Truly Asia' is the slogan
We are indeed truly asia

Some say it's the Foods' Heaven place
We can eat Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Western, Japanese, Italian's food in just one place
We just have to name it
All will be served

Our restaurants open for 24 hours
Eating all day
Some countries only open until 8pm
That's healthy

We have Petronas Twin Towers
It's one of the wonders in the world
But I'm still wondering
How can someone does not know
Where Malaysia is

We have Lee Chong Wei
That was once the number 1 badminton player
We have Nicol Ann David
The number 1 woman squash player
In the world

I have this dream
To travel the whole world
To see people in other countries
To learn their language
To learn their cultures
I'm sure I'll have fun!
