Where Peace And Love Abide Poem by Marquita Lawson

Where Peace And Love Abide

A young girl watched her daddy leave
With his suitcase in his hand
She asked, “Daddy, why ya leavin’? ”
He said, “Darlin, someday you’ll understand”.
She called “Daddy

Turn Back! Don’t walk down that road alone
Turn Back! I’m always on your side
If you must go just remember I’ll be waitin’
You’ll always find me where Peace and Love abide.

Years went by she felt heart was breaking
her husband had become a bitter man
She asked him, “Honey, why can’t we work it out? ”
He said, “Darlin’, even I don’t understand”
She cried, “Honey

Turn Back! Don’t walk down that road alone
Turn Back! I’m always on your side
If you must go just remember I’ll be waitin’
You’ll always find me where Peace and Love abide.

Time’s gone by I’ve traveled many pathways
Some were easy but most had high demand
When I strayed, Our Father spoke so gently
He said, “Child you still don’t seem to understand”
I want you to

Turn Back! Don’t walk down that road alone
Turn Back! I’m always on your side
If you must go just remember I’ll be waitin’
You’ll always find me where Peace and Love abide.
