Where The Lights Decomposed Poem by Kevin Patrick

Where The Lights Decomposed

my eyes are on the wrong side of my face
this fish is cold and falling out of grace
the funeral has know one left to toast
and im the son whose father was a ghost

temperatures are dropping on compassion
empathy is running out of rations
this world has lost its sense of fair and rhyme
if I could tell the truth it be a crime

the cooks are drawing knives in the kitchen
carving a new order in religion
history is crying to be listened
but puritans have ordered its partitioned

balloons are burning blood towards the east
a rabid eagles starving for deaths feast
revelers are armed with ammunition
as war is waits gleefully to be auditioned

the serpents final joke has been unsealed
The angles have left the playing field
Dawn has been cancelled and Eden's foreclosed
Darkness creeps in where the lights decomposed
