Which Way? Poem by Roxy Gonro

And I ask myself, do I keep following this path I’m on, with the past behind me, memories deep in my heart, and the future in front of me? Or go back to the old way of life, with the past still with me, you beside me, and the future far away? Then I realize, I can’t go back. I have to move on and can’t start over with the pain again. I have to continue forward, no matter how much I want to go back, I can’t keep living in the past, I have to face my future, but know that you will always be there in my heart.
