Whisper Of Abandonment Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Whisper Of Abandonment

In the quiet hours of a restless night,
Where shadows dance in pale moonlight,
A whisper stirs within the soul,
A story of a heart's deep hole.

Abandonment, a cruel muse,
Her whispers soft, but hard to lose,
In every corner of the mind,
Her traces linger, unconfined.

A child once felt the sting of loss,
A severed bond, a line uncrossed,
With eyes that searched for what was gone,
Left yearning for a parent's dawn.

In friendships formed and love's embrace,
A shadow fell upon each face,
The fear of loss, a constant guest,
That never let the heart find rest.

'Will you leave me? ' silent cries,
Echo in the lover's eyes,
A touch, a word, a fleeting glance,
A dance of trust, a fragile chance.

Partners, friends, and family dear,
Feel the weight of hidden fear,
They walk on eggshells, try to soothe,
The wounds that time has yet to smooth.

Their patience tested, strength is drained,
By fears that love cannot restrain,
In every bond, a wary heart,
Afraid that love will soon depart.

Whispered doubts and silent tears,
Feed the cycle of their fears,
An endless loop of hope and dread,
A longing for the words unsaid.

Yet in this dance of fear and pain,
A chance to break the endless chain,
With understanding, love, and grace,
To heal the scars and find a place.

For those who love must often show,
A steadfast light, a gentle glow,
To weather storms and calm the seas,
To offer love with no guarantees.

In the whisper of abandonment,
Lies the call to hearts intent,
To love beyond the shadowed past,
To forge a bond that's meant to last.

For in the end, the heart can mend,
With time and love, the wounds transcend,
The whisper fades, the shadows part,
To reveal the strength within the heart.

So listen close, and hold them tight,
Through darkest days and endless night,
For in your love, they find their way,
Through whispers dark, to brighter day.
