White As Snow Poem by Jessica Henning

White As Snow

Rating: 5.0

the ground as white as snow
the same as 5 years ago

the feeling makes you shiver but also makes you smile
the nips upon your feet make the memories worthwhile

youve been here before just as you are
but you were only passing inside your car

a house ontop of a hill smells of hot coacoa
in a rocking chair is your dad and by your side is your bro

the kids on their sleds make you remember what its like
youd sled down those hills after a 3 hour hike

the drops upon your face make you wrap your coat
you watch the lake with the ice it left to float

your cheeks as red as roses and hair as stiff as a board
the snow that piles on your body make frosty feel ignored

the sun begins to shine and the whiteness turns to green
the flowers start to bloom after waiting to be seen...
