Who? (2)

)
Who can discern the hidden thought?
What lies behind its shroud?
Why does the flesh account to nought?
Once sin inside’s allowed

What value is a child’s last tear?
Life’s last departing sigh?
The love that turns away all fear?
The right to wonder why

Who made the way for sin to reign?
Why is it hard to turn?
Why can’t we all be born again?
Why does God’s anger burn?

Has man a choice which song he sings?
Which tune he’ll dance life’s reel?
Does God consider worldly things?
And know what humans feel?

What ear can hear what Jesus said?
What heart receives His Light?
Who can give life to those now dead?
Who can restore man’s sight?

What greater gift can God bestow?
How far has love to reach
How deep is mine prepared to go
Who can such lessons teach?

Who can lay claim to Heaven’s share?
Who can ascend on high?
Who can join Christ, God’s Son as heir?
Who can refuse to die?

The answer lies in Jesus’ hand
God’s hidden word revealed
Through Christ alone we understand
When at His feet we yield. Praise The Lord.
