Who has seen fear in his mother’s eyes
I am a father
Who watched his family as they died
I am a citizen
Who stood in shock in the street
I am a fireman
Moving through tonnes of concrete
I am a policeman
Trying to stay brave
I am a medic
Looking for a life to save
I am a reporter
Barely fighting back tears
I am a president
Realising my worst fears
I am a nation
Hoping our deceased get to heaven
I am a poet
