Who Am I To Exist - Poem by Luciel Dawning
How long did it take me to come to such a conclusion?
Long enough. Eighteen years,
Minus some time wasted crying.
But wait, I am something. I am
(a whore) .
I’d rather be nothing at all. You have no idea.
So I’m nothing. I’d rather not matter at all,
Especially when I’m growing up, becoming
One of many things.
You said I can’t be the one thing I need the most, so
I’d rather be nothing.
Baby, after all these
Years, still I am just a part of you.
Just a part of you that’s never been.
I’m nothing at all.
