Who Made You A Loner Poem by asaolu kolawole ifedayo

Who Made You A Loner

When at night
I heard the sound of thy cascading tears
Wakingly for a cock, a slumbering crow
Upon the crown of grey
Frail and weak
For spying hearts to ease

Fragile woman! Who made thee a loner?
To sit leniently
Among the thorns of virture
Thy purging smile; becoming mine Cobra stung
An illusion of emotion
Like the nagging of Delilah's plea

Africa beauty! Who made thee a loner?
With your head bent so low
Seeking for seventh lover
To uncover the shame of your beauty
A sentimental sorrows
When together we ride
I quake for second death
Of thy nagging nature
Relieving me with pains
Thy golden groom, who once truly loved you in all

Lonely woman! How many dowries shall thou take?
When the garment of your dazzling glory
Has became a littering rags
How many men shall thou marry?
When the shame of your nakedness
Was spat at by an unborn child
My Lonely woman; the impatient lady!
Cut down the wings of thy pride
And replace it with Sara's feather
And maybe, a true lover shall find thee,
To comfort you of thy deepening tears.
