Why Did You Leave Me Here? Why Did You Go? Poem by brennan grenney

Why Did You Leave Me Here? Why Did You Go?

why did you leave me here?
why did you go?
i guess the big man up there said it must be so,
i know i didnt do much for you,
as a friend or even a brother,
i should have looked after you,
should have been like our mother,
when you went with those angels,
i was hit by guilt,
knowing i didnt do enough for you makes me down,
so i sit and i wilt,
i know youd still want me to be happy,
but it just cant be,
you are my sister,
and he took you from me,
i know beside me you still walk,
and i swear i can hear you talk,
but when i stop and look for you,
i gaze into thin air,
hearing your voice but youre not there,
this makes me feel low,
two questions come to mind,
why did you leave me here? ,
why did you go? .
