Why did you give me hope why did you take my heart
If you really couldn't leave her then why us even start

I've bared my soul, I give my heart, I tried my best 
And in turn a silent blank stare from you is all I get 

I keep holding on to you in hopes that you'll stay by my side 
With dreams, wishes, hopes of one day being your bride

With you on my mind I tremble I fall down and cry
I lift my head shake my hands up and begin to ask God why

You hurt me bad you don't know how deeply you have
It's as if with a knife my heart you repeatedly stab

Sometimes I sit thinking wondering asking myself why
Am I stupid for staying here waiting for you to give us a try
