Why Poetry Of Course Poem by Tommy2Souls YellowLivered

Why Poetry Of Course

I had a mistress once
And she defined sultry
Sexier than a cat
More cunning than a fox
Curvaceous as all hell
Then along came the dogs
In heat wagging their tails
Their barking never ceased
And I was distracted
My mistress grew enraged
I am still uncertain
If it was jealousy
That caused her to walk out
And leave me all alone
We shared a special bond
I let her walk away
Did I drive her from me
By being distracted
By those damned barking dogs
Or was it the sirens
Causing the dogs to bark
Does it really matter
She had her own reasons
I stopped blaming myself
It was not meant to be
Sirens and barking dogs
Lost ships upon the sea
Jagged rocks on the shores
Helpers and safe harbors
Oh chaotic mistress
Will we ever conjoin
And rekindle our flame
Or has it been blown out
By the fierce winter's gale
What was my mistress's name
Why poetry of course

P.s.I've given her a new name…Becky…

I am new to this thing called poetry so I haven't a clue as to what the name of this is…or if it should even considered a poem…
