Will You Oppose The Flow? Poem by Belleza Edella Marian SwanCullen

Will You Oppose The Flow?

Oh! Dear one, dear one,
You are entrapped,
Caught by the currents
Without a savior in sight.

You are in the midst
Of a river - fast and strong;
The currents pushing you
To a shore where darkness reigns alone.

And you remember
Your own home,
Your motherland,
Your heaven.

Your land is so different from the shore
To where the current is pushing you
And you know if you surrender,
You'll be defeated, you'll be damned.

And you came back to reality
It was all in you head
Yet, if it was true,
What would you do?

Will you give up the fight
And let the currents push you to the shore?
Or will you oppose the flow
Though it may be strong to come back to your home?
