Wimp Poem by Mary Champion

Wimp

If you keep swallowing your pride and disappointment,
you will find there isn't any ointment
strong enough
to take away the pain.
If you keep turning away from provocation,
backing down from every confrontation,
your lack of guts
will punish you again.

So bite the bullet,
tell it how you see it,
even though they often won't agree it.
See it through
and state your point of view.

Don't get the windup,
blow your top and show it;
after all, you surely know you know it.
Time to speak-
the Truth is overdue.
