As winter sweeps the land
It kills the joyful life
Like my soul thats left behind
Stabbed with a jaggerd knife
Plants are stolen of the growth
The fearful frost has left its mark
The wind is bitter as cold a ice
I suffer i frozen heart
Morning darkness that i rise
Close by the jolly fire i sit
Shivering in my nakedness
To warm my frozen bones a bit
Winter is like death
Sunlight is not supplying
Its bitter end to all its life
I also feel like dying
Silence sweeps far to near
I see my smokey breath
Trees stripped of all there leaves
I so feel close to death
The hope of spring bringing life
Keeps nature holding on
Winter departs as new life starts
Giving the strength to carry on
