Winter Field (Haipho) - Poem by C.D. Sinex
A snow dusted field—
Cicadas sleep in silence,
dreaming of summer.

Poet's Notes about The Poem
Haipho is the modern offspring of Haiga, which is a type of Japanese poetry combining a Haiku and a sumi-e (ink-wash) drawing. Haipho is Haiku and a photograph. This was originally written for the ‘Weekly Poetry Prompt' thread on the AbsoluteWrite Water Cooler.
