POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Haipho is the modern offspring of Haiga, which is a type of Japanese poetry combining a Haiku and a sumi-e (ink-wash) drawing. Haipho is Haiku and a photograph. This was originally written for the ‘Weekly Poetry Prompt' thread on the AbsoluteWrite Water Cooler.
